1451 Park Road

The City of Benicia is in receipt of a development application for 1451 Park Road, which proposes 17 housing units with associated off-street parking on a 0.56 acre parcel located at the northwest corner of Jefferson Street and Park Road (1451 Park Road) in the Arsenal Historic District. The project proposes that 10% of units will be affordable to income-qualified households at a below market rate. 

The application for 1451 Park Road was submitted pursuant to Senate Bill 35 (SB 35), a state law intended to streamline residential development that meets established criteria. Applications that are eligible for streamlined review pursuant to SB 35, including compliance with adopted objective standards, shall be approved by the City without discretionary review and are not subject to environmental review pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
