Information Technology
The Information Technology Division (IT) has the responsibility for supporting and maintaining network connectivity, all IT-related hardware, approved software, and operating systems used by the City. In addition, the Division is responsible for supporting and maintaining core applications, integration of new hardware/software enhancements, and ensuring new systems are developed and deployed holistically. Further, this division is also responsible for ensuring the security of the environment by maintaining anti-virus tools, backups for all application servers, and client network to home directories. IT responsibility is to ensure that all electronic transactions of the City are carried out in the most efficient and secure manner.
Senate Bill 272
Approved on October 11, 2015, adds a section to the California Public Records Act requiring local agencies to create a catalog of Enterprise Systems by July 1, 2016 with annual updates.
