City Holidays and Alternate Friday Closure

This calendar shows City of Benicia staff holidays and alternate Friday closure days. City Hall is closed on alternating Fridays (also known as a 9/80 schedule). The lobby of Fire Station 11 located on Military West is also closed on the alternating Fridays.

The Benicia Police Department lobby is open 24 hours a day. If you need immediate assistance during a closure or holiday, or have a request for emergency water and sewer service, please contact the Benicia Police Department at 707-745-3412.   

The Benicia Public Library is open Monday – Thursday, 10:00 am – 9:00 pm; Friday – Sunday, 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm; and is closed on holidays.

The calendar is also posted at the entrance to City Hall and at the entrance to Benicia Fire Station 11.
