Commercial Recreation Businesses
Commercial recreation is not a destination you travel to—but a vital layer of daily life, woven directly into the neighborhoods where we live, work, and connect.
- Commercial Recreation includes theaters, bowling alleys, billiard parlors, ice/roller skating rinks, play centers, game arcades (video games, pinball, etc.), indoor sports practice and training (e.g., batting cages), indoor archery or shooting galleries.
- Commercial Recreation does not include adult businesses, nor any establishment engaged in gambling or betting.
- Larger sports and entertainment assembly uses that provide both indoor and outdoor spectator-oriented sports such as stadiums, arenas, and tournament facilities, as well as outdoor amusement (e.g. amusement parks, mini-golf) also do not fall under this category.
