Press Release: City of Benicia Invites Community to State of the City Event

The City of Benicia invites community members to attend the State of the City event on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Benicia Public Library. This event provides an opportunity for residents to learn about the latest developments in Benicia and engage directly with city leaders.

City Manager Mario Giuliani will present an update on the City’s Resiliency Plan, highlighting efforts to modernize the Parks, Landscape, and Lighting District (PLLAD). Established in the late 1970s, the PLLAD now faces significant funding challenges in maintaining and enhancing Benicia’s parks and green spaces. This presentation, followed by a Q&A session, will provide attendees with insights into the progress achieved to date, key milestones, and the city's forward-looking goals as it advances its Resiliency Plan to ensure sustainable and well-maintained parks for the community.

In addition to the presentation, community members will have the opportunity to meet and interact with City Council Members and city department staff, who will be available to provide additional information on current topics and answer questions.

The event is open and free to the public and no registration is required.
