Benicia Advisory Lifted – 2:15 p.m.

The City of Benicia has lifted the air quality advisory for all residents due to smoke from nearby fires. Mobile air monitoring in the community shows that air conditions have improved significantly since this morning, however, this is subject to changing conditions.

Benicia Fire Department and City of Benicia staff will continue to monitor the situation at all times and issue alerts, if needed. To check air quality, visit www.baaqmd.gov or www.airnow.gov

We recommend that you continue to follow the City of Benicia on Facebook, Twitter, Nextdoor.com, or our website (ci.benicia.ca.us) for routine updates.  Please do not call 9-1-1 unless you are experiencing an emergency.

If conditions worsen, we will provide an alert with updated information. Otherwise, general information will be posted on social media, the City’s website, and our local cable channel.
