Preparing your Construction Permit Application

Once Planning approval has been granted, additional permit(s) will be required prior to installation.

Building permit requirements: 

• Stamped, approved plans from the Planning Division
• Planning permit approval letter
• Connection details to wall or footing (for freestanding)
• Electrical line diagram (for illuminated signs)
• Supporting Structural Documents (as applicable)
• Energy Form (for illuminated signs)
• A signed Property Owner Signature Form with a copy of the propety owner's photo ID
• If the applicant is not the property owner, a letter of authorization from the owner designating the applicant to act as agent on their behalf for the purposes of the building permit.
• A Digital Signature Authorization Form signed by the applicant with a copy of the applicant's photo ID
