Communications Center
The public safety Communication Center for the City of Benicia is located within the Benicia Police Department. The Communication Center handles business lines for the police department and 911 emergency calls.
The center is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We currently have nine full-time dispatchers and one supervisor. Both community services officers are also trained dispatchers and provide dispatching service as needed. Our center handles both police and fire calls.
Emergency Calls911 is for emergencies only. Call 911 when there is an immediate threat to life or property and an immediate response from officers, fire, and/or paramedics is needed.
The Communication Center handles all the 911 calls for Benicia residents. If you live within the city limits and dial 911 from your landline phone you will reach the Benicia Police Department.
