Police Reports


  • TRAFFIC INCIDENT REPORTS: 

Traffic incident reports can be obtained by requesting it through the City's Service Request page.

For those citizens who do not have on-line access, the police department will maintain its process of providing reports in the customary fashion through our records unit. Citizens and Insurance Companies are encouraged to use the on-line service.

  • POLICE REPORTS:

Requests for copies of police reports can be made in several ways:

  1. Submitting an Online Police Records Request
  2. Submit a completed Police Records Request form to the Police Department in person or via USPS mail.
    Forms are available at the Police Department (7 days a week, 24 hours a day) or can be downloaded below.
    Completed forms can be dropped off at the Police Department or mailed to:
    Benicia Police Department
    ATTN: Records Clerk
    200 East L Street
    Benicia, CA 94510
  3. Telephone requests can be made by calling the Records Clerk at 707-746-4245.

Requests are not fulfilled until they are approved by the Records Clerk AND payment has been received.  You must be an authorized applicant (based on the California Public Records Act and Benicia Municipal Code Open Government Ordinance) for a request to be approved.
