Benicia PD Special Events

Throughout the year, Benicia PD will hold special events to benefit members of our community.  Please see the information below for any upcoming Special Events:

The summer months offer more opportunities for kiddos to spend time outside and go on adventures away from supervising adults. Unfortunately statistics show that most child abductions happen during the months of June, July and August. It is important to have specific information about your child on hand to provide to law enforcement, should your child be lost or missing.
Join us at our Safety Fair to get your FREE Child ID kit. The kit includes the ability to create a record of your child's fingerprints, take a DNA swab, include a current photo, and list other important information that may help to identify the child. These kits are yours to take home and keep in a safe place, but we are here to help you complete the kit, if you wish. (Child ID kits also available to adults with cognitive disabilties, or older adults with cognitive impairments).
...PLUS we have some other fun activities to make this event a great event to attend.

The Citzen's Academy is a great opportunity to get to know the Police Department operations on a deeper level.  Participants will attend information sessions twice a week for 6 weeks and learn more about K9 handling, crime scene investigations, firearm instruction, dispatch services, SWAT, and so much more!  This year participants/graduates will be members of Citizen's Academy Class 13.

       August 19 - September 25
       6:30pm-9:30pm, each session
