Intro to Computer Programming Using AI
Dive into the exciting world of coding with our 4-week youth coding course designed for students aged 10-16! This hands-on program introduces programming through the themes of robotics, gaming, machine learning, and app design. Using modern AI tools, students will explore how Python is used in real-world applications, empowering them to create their own projects. No prior coding experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and creativity! Please bring your own laptop.

Dive into robotics and embark on an exciting journey into coding and engineering! In this hands-on program, you’ll learn how to build your very own Remote-Controlled Car. Through engaging challenges and step-by-step guidance, you’ll develop real-world robotics skills—no prior experience needed, just curiosity and creativity! BEGINNING SEWING
Discover the fun and creativity of sewing. Machine sewing: This is the perfect class for beginners and those with some sewing experience. Learn basic hand and machine sewing techniques such as seam finishes, installing a zipper, sewing a project from a pattern or repurposing an old variety clothing item into something new. Students will apply the basic sewing techniques to their class projects based on their interests. Hand sewing: Discover the fun and creativity of hand sewing. Learn hand stitching skills to create projects like felt miniature animals and people, small craft projects and sock toys. Students will also learn about fabrics and how to choose the right fabric for the right project.

YOUNG PEOPLE’S AND ADULT PERFORMING ARTS
Come join Young People's Performing Arts and Adult Performing Arts of Benicia! Performers will train in acting, singing and dancing. The musical that will be performed is chosen the first day of class to ensure all actors get a lead or featured roll. Students will audition, as a part of the training, for the roll or rolls they would like to perform. Training in each class results in a polished performance with costumes, scenery, props to make a complete show that will be performed and enjoyed at the end of the session by parents, friends and relatives. Adults are especially encouraged to participate, as there are few venues to perform.

BABYSITTING CERTIFICATION CLASSES
Prepare to become a great babysitter for younger siblings or as a paid job. Topics include: leadership, safety, understanding & caring for children newborn to ten years old, what to do in an emergency, activities to keep kids busy, safety information, dealing with discipline issues and how to go that extra step to impress parents.

Solano Lions Intro to Cheer (Cubs)
Get ready to roar with excitement! The Solano Lions Cheer & Dance Team introduces our youngest cheerleaders (Ages 3-5) to the fun world of cheerleading! In the Cubs class, children will learn the basics of cheer, including fun cheers, stomps, pom-pom routines, and beginner formations. We focus on building coordination, confidence, and teamwork while encouraging creativity in a supportive, non-competitive environment Optional End of Summer Showcase: Join us in July for our showcase, where your little Cubs will have the opportunity to shine and show off their newly learned skills! Material Fee: $50 (includes cheer shirt, shorts, and bow)

Take your cheer skills to the next level with the Solano Lions Cheer & Dance Team! In this class kids ages 6-9 will build on basic cheer fundamentals and have a blast learning fun chants, pom-pom routines, and basic formations. With an emphasis on teamwork, rhythm, and coordination, this class will introduce floor routines and help kids develop their cheer confidence while keeping it fun and energetic! Optional End of Summer Showcase: Join us in July for our showcase, where your little Paws will have the opportunity to shine and show off their newly learned skills! This course focuses on building confidence, teamwork, and cheer fundamentals, including basic stunts, formations, stomps, and fun pom-pom routines. We’ll also introduce floor routines that help students get comfortable with coordination and precision, while keeping the focus on fun and support! DANCE TEAM PREP
In this course we will go over everything you need to know about being on a dance team. Whether you're auditioning with no experience or trying to better your performance ability we will be perfecting lines and angles in a disciplined yet engaging setting. This class will be a great combination of learning technique, choreography, different skill sets and styles. We will also learn professional dance terminology, work on flexibility, Jazz technique, Performance & projection as well as basic Leaps and Turns! We will take our time going through each style and how to retain choreography. Mandatory: dance shoes (no sandals, jeans or toys). Wear hair up and all black to class.

ALL GOOD DRIVER'S: DRIVER EDUCATION ON THE INTERNET
Driver education is a California-required course for teens to receive a driver’s license. It is the first step that must be taken so the teen can receive a driver’s permit. The course includes parental involvement, is fun, interactive, and educational. Coursework can be completed any time of day or night. DMV-accepted completion certificates are issued upon successful completion of the course. Class does not include behind-the-wheel driving. The course is offered on-line only.
